Thank you for a successful 2024 NLN Conference - Evolving Lymphatic Concepts.
This hybrid conference took place in two parts - virtual and in-person. The virtual portion focused on the newest developments in lymphology for research, surgery, therapy interventions, and more. The in-person event provided hands-on learning for lymphatic modalities, including deep oscillation, elastic taping, low level laser, IASTM, and negative pressure. We are partnered with Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.
Virtual Program Objectives: At the end of the event, the participant will be able to:
Formulate a treatment plan for lipedema patients with consideration for their presentation of pain, functional limitations, and possible surgical interventions
Evaluate the benefits of using modalities in the treatment of lymphedema patients and select appropriate interventions accordingly
Examine current limitations in care for lymphatic disease and construct procedural strategies to improve coordination and access to high quality intervention
Differentiate the opportunities for neurolymphatic interventions for implementation in patient care
Analyze the implications of lymphatic mapping on established care plans and protocols to modify and implement new strategies to treat lymphedema of the upper exremity.
In-Person Progam Objective: At the end of the event, the participant will be able to demonstrate appropriate use of the presented modalities and design treatment parameters for lymphedema care.
