Description: The virtual portion of the 2024 NLN Conference - Evolving Lymphatic Concepts highlights the latest advancements in lymphology, spanning research, surgical approaches, therapy interventions, and innovative modalities such as deep oscillation, elastic taping, low‑level laser, IASTM, and negative pressure.
Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Formulate a treatment plan for lipedema patients with consideration for their presentation of pain, functional limitations, and possible surgical interventions
- Evaluate the benefits of using modalities in the treatment of lymphedema patients and select appropriate interventions accordingly
- Examine current limitations in care for lymphatic disease and construct procedural strategies to improve coordination and access to high quality intervention
- Differentiate the opportunities for neurolymphatic interventions for implementation in patient care
- Analyze the implications of lymphatic mapping on established care plans and protocols to modify and implement new strategies to treat lymphedema of the upper exremity.
