 The National Lymphedema Network’s mission is to empower our community of lymphedema practitioners and patients by providing educational opportunities, networking opportunities, and interventional
resources. We aim to inspire clinicians to provide world-class care for people with lymphedema by promoting best practice guidelines and standards of care. To further our mission, we are
pleased to offer the NLN CLT Scholarship Program (formally known as the NLN Lymphedema Leadership Program) to support the clinical growth and professional development of clinicians
in the field of lymphology and making lymphedema treatment more readily available in the community. Applications are currently closed and will reopen in 2026 Who Is Eligible?- Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy practitioners as their services in providing lymphedema intervention is reimbursable by insurance
- Clinicians who recently graduated from an Occupational/Physical Therapy program are eligible to apply as well as the seasoned clinician who is now interested
in specializing in lymphology
- Priority will be given to clinicians who practice in areas that have limited access to lymphedema therapy
Benefits to Accepted Clinician- Complimentary tuition to a certified lymphedema therapist traininig program ($3300 value). This does not include any other expenses
such as travel, hotel accommodations, food and beverage, etc. Clinicians must still meet all the certification requirements and pass all examinations
and clinical assessments in order to be awarded the CLT designation.
- NLN Supporter Level membership until achieving CLT designation.
- Complimentary upgraded membership to Directory Level for one year after certification.
- Mentorship from NLN Expert Clinicians
- Complimentary registration to the annual NLN Conference within the second year after CLT certification to present their capstone project

- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Clinicians will be notified of acceptance via email within 14 business days.
- If a clinician is accepted into the program, they are required to complete a capstone project within their second year of CLT certification, and present it at the annual NLN Conference. The purpose of a capstone project is to showcase the clinician’s ability to apply their learning to a real-world problem and to contribute to the advancement of lymphology. More information will be provided upon acceptance into the Scholarship Program.

- Applicants are ineligible for reimbursement of any tuition paid prior to applying for the scholarship. Course registration is coordinated directly between the NLN and the educational institution. The scholarship provides full access to the certification program and may not be applied toward previously paid balances or transferred to other courses.
- Applications submitted without the required documents, uploaded video, or completed payment will remain pending and will not be processed until all necessary requirements are fulfilled.
- Applicants who have applied for or received funding from other scholarship programs to support CLT certification are not eligible for consideration for the NLN CLT Scholarship. This opportunity is intended for individuals who have not secured alternate financial support for their training.
