Our organization is looking for an AUDITOR to keep our company in a constant posture of accountability, sharpness, growth and improvement. This is a part-time, contract position to audit our billing department on a monthly basis. Please look through our company website to see if you would love to be a part of our vision!

Credentials that are positives for this position:

Certified professional coder (CPC)

Certified professional medical auditor (CPMA)

Member of AAPC

5 or more years of experience

Responsibilities:

Conduct monthly billing audits

Conduct quarterly ABN audits

Conduct other audits as requested related to compliance or billing concerns

Provide feedback to billing office manager, biller, administrative team/owners, and clinic managers regarding findings of audits

Offer recommendations for improvement based on the findings of the audits

Act as point of contact for compliance concerns reported through compliance@lymphedemateam.com

Provide training and/or training materials related to compliance and HIPAA

Provide proof of employee compliance/HIPAA training

Conduct research as requested related to compliance/billing questions/concerns

Check CMS LCDs and NCDs for updates related to services provided by LTS

Check eligibility of providers for the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (for CMS) on an annual basis

Contact AAPC with questions for an official response as needed (this can be done by anyone, but a member of AAPC pays a lower fee for Ask an Expert)

Purchase coding books from AAPC (this can be done by anyone through any source, but a member of AAPC can pay a lower amount when purchased through AAPC)

Assist with writing policies and procedures as needed

Attend administrative meetings as needed (in-person or by zoom)
