Marilyn Westbrook Garment fund Committee
The Marilyn Westbrook Garment Fund Committee is comprised of three amazing women who for years have dedicated their time and clinical expertise so that patients in financial need could receive compression garments.
Christina Berry, MS, OTR/L, CLT-LANA
Chrissy holds a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Touro College. She received her lymphedema certification from the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in 2006 and her LANA certification in 2007. She studied Advanced Lymphedema Therapy in Hinterzarten, Germany with Klose Consulting at the Foeldi Clinic in 2010. Chrissy started a private practice specializing in lymphedema in 2008. She also works part time with the Veterans Administration and has introduced Lymphedema Therapy to the homebound Veterans of Eastern Long Island, New York. Chrissy is active in her community; she is a volunteer firefighter, an assistant Scout Master, and a deacon in her church.
Prior to becoming an OT, Chrissy has a diverse history. She taught English in Japan; traveled solo through Thailand and Vietnam; instructed people with physical and mental challenges how to ski in Breckinridge, Colorado; worked on a boat in Alaska; taught English and healthcare in Morocco as a Peace Corps volunteer; and traveled through West Africa.
Chrissy is proud to be part of MWGF and all the good work it accomplishes.
Kristy Blair, PT, MSPT, DPT, CLT-LANA
Kristy graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Masters degree in Physical Therapy. She continued her education, obtaining a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mass General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She began her career in orthopedics and sports medicine has continued to work primarily in the outpatient physical therapy settings. For the past 10 years she has been dedicated to oncology rehabilitation, treating patients with lymphedema and other swelling disorders.
Kristy has been honored to participate as a Committee Member for the MWGF since 2013.
Elissa Fiorito, OTR/L, CLT-LANA
Elissa is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from Quinnipiac College in 1997 with a BS in OT. She received her initial lymphedema certification from Klose Norton Training and Consulting in 2001 and was certified by the Lymphology Association of North America in 2002. Over the years, she has developed extensive experience working with patients with lymphedema of all ages and various presentations. She has also done some assistant teaching over the years with the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy.
Elissa has been married for 19 years and has 3 wonderful children that keep her on her toes! Elissa has been volunteering with the National Lymphedema Network’s MWGF for the past 8 years and enjoys being able to give her time and expertise to this valuable organization.
