Jeannette Zucker, PT, DPT, CLT-LANA
Jeannette Zucker holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University. She received her lymphedema certification from Klose Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in 2002 and started her career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2003. She assisted with the development and expansion of the lymphedema therapy program and advanced through the clinical levels from Staff Physical Therapist to Senior Physical Therapist and then to Lymphedema Clinical Specialist. Currently as Outpatient Therapy Supervisor she continues to work on further developing the lymphedema service to promote the awareness, early diagnosis, and risk minimization of lymphedema.
Jeannette joined the faculty of the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in 2009 and serves on the Medical Advisory Board for Lymphedivas as well as for Lohmann & Rauscher. She is certified by the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA), was awarded the Susan G. Komen Scholarship by the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) in 2006, and was honored in 2012 by a New York State Senate Legislative Resolution (K901-2011) for outstanding advocacy and promotion of lymphedema awareness.
Jeannette has served on the Scientific Committee of the NLN conferences since 2008, served as Chair of the Scientific Committee in 2017, and is the Scientific Committee Chair of the 2019 NLN Conference. She continues her dedication to the lymphology community by serving on the NLN Board of Directors. Her professional interest is to promote advocacy, awareness, and clinical education related to lymphedema and lymphedema therapy while encouraging patient empowerment and clinician engagement.
Thomas Kendall, MBA, CPA
Thomas Kendall was a Stern Scholar and earned his MBA degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University with concentrations in Finance and International Business. He additionally holds a BS degree in accounting from the University at Albany and is certified as a CPA in the state of NY.
Tom is the former CFO of Russell Reynolds Associates, one of the world’s leading global executive search and leadership advisory firms operating in 28 countries. During his circa 35-year career, Tom held various positions including internal auditor, assistant controller, and director of Financial Planning & Analysis, culminating in the CFO role.
Tom joined the National Lymphedema Network Board of Directors in 2018 where he serves as Treasurer and CFO.
Michael Cannon, MBA
Michael Cannon earned his BBA as well as his MBA from Loyola University Maryland. He is Director of Sales Training & Education at medi USA, where he develops the medical compression sales team on serving the lymphatic, venous, and wound care markets. He has been with medi USA since 1999 and has worked in sales, product management, marketing management, and product development. He has helped medi grow into one of the most respected companies in the medical compression market.
Michael has been on the Board of Directors of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) since 2011 serving as Treasurer, Board Chair, and currently as Secretary. He is also an original member of the Board of Directors of the Lymphedema Advocacy Group (LAG) where he has served on Executive Committee since 2010.
Azish Filabi, JD, MA
Azish Filabi is Executive Director of Ethical Systems. Through research and collaboration with leading researchers, she dedicates her time to helping businesses measure and promote ethical behavior and culture in their organizations. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the NYU Stern School of Business.
Azish has presented on business ethics and culture at various forums, including the Ethics and Compliance Initiative, the Conference Board, the Good Work Institute, and the NY State Bar Association (International Section), among others. She also writes frequently on these topics.
Previously, she was as an Assistant VP, Ethics Officer and Counsel in the Legal Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. She was also an Associate at the NYC-based law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, LLP. She is active in the NY State Bar Association as an Officer in the International Section and co-founded the The Committee on Social Finance and Enterprise.
Azish has a B.A. as an Echols Interdisciplinary Scholar from the University of Virginia (UVA), a J.D. from the UVA School of Law, and a M.A. in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She joined the NLN Board of Directors in 2018.
Steve Norton, CDT Clinical Instructor, CLT-LANA
In 1998 Steve co-founded Klose Norton Training & Consulting, offering complete decongestive therapy (CDT) certification courses for medical professionals. He has been faculty at the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Nursing and for the world renowned Foeldi Clinic, Special Clinic for Lymphology, in Hinterzarten, Germany. In 2003, he founded the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, certifying clinicians in CDT throughout the United States as well as internationally including India, South Africa, and China.
Steve is the host/presenter/producer of internationally distributed educational treatment videos and was filmed and interviewed by the Discovery Health Channel for its worldwide-viewed program “Medical Incredible”. He conducted a Staff Briefing to Congress in Washington, DC related to an initiative to establish new laws geared towards improving reimbursement for lymphedema.
He is a sought-after consultant for lymphedema services by private clinics, hospitals, independent physician offices, firms within the lymphedema, and compression therapy industries.
Steve has authored articles on lymphedema management in numerous professional publications and contributed chapters to Textbook of Lymphology, Kuerer’s Breast Surgical Oncology, and Best Practice for the Management of Lymphoedema. Along with Joachim Zuther, Steve is the co-author of the internationally distributed textbook Lymphedema Management: The Comprehensive Guide for Practicing Therapists.
Steve is a regular presenter and organizer of international lymphedema related conferences including, but not limited to, the National Lymphedema Network (NLN), International Society of Lymphology (ISL), International Lymphedema Framework (ILF), American Lymphedema Framework Project (ALFP), International Union of Phlebologists, and University of Pennsylvania.
Steve was appointed to the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) 2003-2009, is currently a member of the International Advisory Board for the and the Educational Committee for the International Lymphedema Framework (ILF). He joined the NLN Board of Directors in 2018.
Chuck Ehrlich, MS, MBA
Chuck Ehrlich received his BS and MS from Case Western Reserve University and his MBA from University of San Francisco. Currently he is a researcher, writer, and publisher for Lymph Notes. He is the lead author of Lymphedema and Lipedema Nutrition Guideand frequently speaks at medical meetings and patient events about the importance of nutrition in lymphedema risk reduction and care.
Working with Ann Ehrlich, a medical writer with breast cancer related lymphedema, Chuck started LymphNotes.comin 2003 as an online lymphedema community and information resource. Lymph Notes expanded into publishing and Chuck helped develop books for people with lymphedema including Living Well With Lymphedema, Overcoming the Emotional Challenges of Lymphedema, Voices of Lymphedema, and Lymphedema Caregiver's Guide. Lymph Notes has been sponsor of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) since 2005 and supports scholarships for lymphedema therapist training.
Chuck is also affiliated with the International Society for Lymphology (ISL), International Lymphedema Framework (ILF), and Lymphatic Education and Research Network (LE&RN). He joined the National Lymphedema Network Board of Directors in 2018.
