Positively Altered features thirty‑four stories, three postscripts, and one powerful message: a call to action for each of us to unapologetically live and love in our own way, no matter what challenges life brings. Dr. Howard’s writing invites readers to discover how happiness can be found in the rarest places - even at the bottom of a chemo bag.

This conversation aligns closely with the NLN’s mission to empower, educate, and support individuals affected by lymphatic diseases. By sharing real experiences and honest reflections, the book - and this discussion - help foster connection, reduce isolation, and strengthen the sense of community that is at the heart of the NLN.
