We are living in exciting times. Lymphatic research is beginning to become a focus for "bench scientists" and clinical researchers alike! The increase in published research studies and in funded research during the past 10 years has been tremendous and we hope that the upward trend will continue.
The members of the NLN Research Committee are "committed" to keeping patients and health providers up-to-date on the status of lymphedema and lymphatic system research. To that end we have been working with NLN staff to establish a research website. Every quarter we will update the site with information about newly published research and also have suggestions for classic studies, older studies that significantly impacted the field. You will also be able to access the Research Perspectives columns from LymphLink.
We want to hear from you-so let us know how we can improve and add additional information to the site. As chair of the committee, you can contact me at Sheila.Ridner@Vanderbilt.edu with any ideas or questions.
