Lymphedema Awareness D-Day Resolutions

Virginia: Passes Resolution Designating March 6 "Lymphedema Awareness D-Day"

Each states' status of desgnating D-DayIt's official! House Joint Resolution No. 524 has passed in Virginia. This resolution, introduced by Delegate Leo Wardrup (R-Virginia Beach), declares March 6 as Lymphedema Awareness D-Day in the state of Virginia.

Congratulations to Joy Bechtold of the American Cancer Society in Richmond, VA, and the other dedicated individuals who made this legislation possible. Together, we are making lymphedema awareness a reality -- one person, one state, and one nation at a time.

In addition, since the passage of the Virgina bill, many activists have been working hard to pass resolutions in their states across the country! See the US map, right, for updates - well done!
